“There has been much discussion about jazz this last year. Many people say that it is the downfall of our country while others who uphold it are closely watching its improvements.
For many years jazz was noisy and ridiculous but it is said that the year 1925 marked a great change in it. Many old masterpieces have been rearranged by successful jazz artists to a faster tempo and the result is that we have “classical jazz.” This new kind of jazz is growing slowly but surely and is making great headway in New York. Vincent Lopez of New York, one of the world’s greatest jazz artists, is an upholder…”
